American Airlines Award Routing Rules - One Mile at a Time

Summarised here but as shown in comments other routings are possible like, for example, South Pacific to Europe via Dubai.

The one Qatar exception that they don't seem to have brought in is South Pacific (eg Australia) to Europe via Dohar. Currently because you change flight numbers, my understanding is that this is still not allowed or have I missed an update?
