Better, worse or the same as QF?
v8Statesman said:They only time I have flown CX in Y was as a WP. Straight after take off, the CSM moved me to a better seat. Took my dinner order and brought it straight out. Happily served me drinks from J. Cleared up my tray after eating. All before the main cabin dinner service.
If flying and there is a choice between CX and QF for Y. forget the 100% bonus miles and enjoy the treatment!

Was that experience fairly recent? Or maybe just the CSM in a good mood?
I still have not been greeted by a QF CSM when travelling in Y. Neither has my wife who also has QF WP status.

I had a similar experience on QF Y as an AA EXP in Feb on a SIN-BNE flight. I was greeted and handed J headphones as I boarded the aircraft, and later provided J scotch and a personal welcome. The CSD was looking out for Emeralds at the cabin door and handing our the J headphones.v8Statesman said:The one time I flew QF whY (X) last year. I was greated by the CSM, giving J headphones, J drinks, but Y meal. I was happy with that.
Clearly YMMV
