AA 787-9 (BNE-DFW) PE seat selection

Hello, I am looking for advice on seat selection if possible. I am flying AA PE for the first time in a 787-9 (BNE-DFW) with my partner. We won't be getting the new 787-9P, as seat config is as follows Seat map of American Airlines Boeing 787-9 aircraft

I have chosen seats 11 A+C there and 9 A+C back. Any advice anyone can give with experience in this config?

The seat map site you linked really says it all. Some people like the bulk-head rows (row 9 in your case) and some don't like it. As the linked site suggests, row 9 has no floor storage, no reclining seat in front, has tray table folded into the arm rest and is closest to toilet and galley. Some people like those features, other people would prefer to sit other rows. Other than those things, all the PE seats are pretty much the same omn that aircraft.

Ah, the ol' bulkhead v non-bulkhead debate. I'm (seemingly) weird for preferring bulkheads, but I know many others who prefer regular seats.

For bulkheads vs regular seats:
+ Can have a window seat and be able to get out to go to the loo without disturbing anyone
+ No-one reclining into you (PE is even worse than regular economy for trapping you if someone's at full recline IMO)
+ More feeling of space
+ No obstruction from entertainment boxes or seat supports
- Tray table in the armrest may cause seat to be narrower (not usually a problem in PE though)
- Entertainment screen usually folds out from the seat forcing you to look down to see it (leading to more soreness in the neck)
- Have to store stuff in the overhead bins for takeoff and landing
- Usually closer to the galleys or loos
- Can have less practical legroom as there's nowhere to put the feet.
