AA 77W vs BA 744 in business - which is best?

People, just on the random chance that someone here has flown both - if you were faced with a choice of flying a British Airways 747 in business cross-atlantic, or doing it on one of the newer (?) 777 that American have, which would you choose?

I have flown BA 747´s recently, and they seem very bloody old!! But have never tasted the AA best product.

Any opinions??

It's a reverse herringbone kinda the same set up as Cathay Pacific.

Add a second endorsement for the AA 77W. Flew it last year (JFK-LHR) and it was a top notch seat. Didn't fly with a companion but I imagine you would be best picking a window seat and the aisle across from it (1-2-1 config) it's not directly matched up obviously.

but to my mind much preferable than facing each other the whole flight on BA (I never flew BA again after flying it once in 2005 and being a tall guy travelling solo) where the fan divider was useless.

Im pretty sure the divider in the middle pair on the AA77W is fixed.

Last month I did a flight on a BA 747 where everytime the steward wanted to offer the guy in the window seat something he just dropped the screen, scaring the bejesus out of the pax. Me and the other pax laughed about it, but really it is cough. And when the screen is down, there is nothing natural about being seated facing a stranger.

The only 'good' thing about the BA seat is that a rear-facing seat is much safer in an emergency landing. But that's about where I run out of positives.

It was very comfortable - Mrs D and I could communicate fairly well, but seats are angled enough that I could recline and hide too!!
Cost less points and fewer taxes
BA J is a bit weird for singles but quite nice with partner facing each other.
