Haven't seen anyone else post, I received an invite a couple of days ago for this coming Friday to attend the QF hanger area at Mascot to view a new AA 777 which I presume will be on the new service to Sydney.

I guess it's targeted as since QF decided to tie in with Emirates have only use QF international on the transpacific route.

American Airlines are flying their flagship B777 to SYD on 13 November, ahead of the inaugural flight SYD/LAX in December.

QANTAS WELCOMES AMERICAN AIRLINES FLAGSHIP BOEING 777-300ER TO SYDNEY AHEAD OF INAUGURAL DECEMBER SYDNEY-LOS ANGELES FLIGHT - Qantas News Room

Newsflash!

American Airlines to fly-over Sydney Harbour, followed by joint CEO press conference Qantas’ Hangar 96!

Here's some details about the flyover:

Date:
Friday 13[SUP]th[/SUP] November 2015

Time:
Approximately 8:15am (suggest being in position from 8am)

Flight plan:
The current flight path takes the aircraft on a route from east to west flying over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Traffic permitting, the Captain will then make a 180 degree left turn around and come back west to east before heading to Sydney International Airport. Flying at 1800 feet.

Lucky you. :D

It's been very hush-hush so far, as to invites on the day. ;)

Edit: Maybe some last minute invites will come our way.

Thanks, due to QF customer failures and the Red Roo approach to certain things I generally don't read those posts.

My post was really meant as a congratulation on your invite.

All that I can recall about any invites was in PF's post:

Edit: Maybe some last minute invites will come our way

DC3, are you available Friday about noon?
