I'm flying to Jakarta next month on QF41/42, and am wondering if the front row of Business is any better than Row 2+. I have currently selected 3K on the way up, and 1F on the (night time) return.

From the seatmap it looks like 1AB and JK are bassinet seats.

Would 1F be considered a better seat than 2F etc for space? (or nothing in it and I would be better in 2F in case of screaming kids!)

And how about 1A or K with the bulkhead - is it easy to get past 1B/J or do you still have to climb over them if they are stretched out?

Thanks.

Nothing much in it IMO.

1A/B were fine legroom wise coming back from SIN to BNE and I'm 6'4".

One factor to consider is they may bring more noise from the galley / people heading to toilets on an overnight flight.

There's still climbing over (hence middle pair is typically better if you're ok with aisle/no window) and in some respects row 2+ can be easier as there's a little handle on the rear of the seat in front (not on bulkhead) although the bulkhead is marginally more "open" so a trade off there. If travelling as a couple then it's a non issue but travelling alone if go for a seat in the middle pair.

Agree with docjames... All much of a muchness
Have preference for window for smidgen more privacy

I have flown in 1AB Internationally in J on a night flight 23:00 (the old QF51 SIN-BOM) although it is a great seat as it feels a bit more private, the only drawback is when the whole cabin has lights out for sleeping you get the bright lights of the galley hitting you right in the eye through the gaps in the curtains.

If you are in the middle of J it would be darker and quieter.

Thanks for the feedback. Thinking 2F now..... (ah decisions, decisions!)
