After enjoying a dip & a few drinks by the pool we walked over to MBS.....beautiful, easy, waterfront walk that takes around 15mins. It's a very popular jogging route so the sights along the way were mostly - lovely;)

Looking back at the FBH

First time to MBS and everything about the place is huge, flashy & OTT. The kids asked for a break from our food adventure so we ate at the food court :( Rasapura Masters......a hawker style set-up & not bad as food courts go Singapore Restaurants - Casual Dining - Rasapura Masters

Small water feature in the middle of the mall

After eating we decided to go up to the SkyPark observation deck & see what all fuss is about. This is the area open to the general public - for a fee........pool, bars, etc are not part of the deal. This is what is looks like during the day THE BEST VIEWS OF SINGAPORE FROM THE SANDS SKYPARK | jan shim photography

Very quick ride to the top, no queues.......great view!

Lovely breakfast at FBH Clifford restaurant - nice spread & great service.

A trip to Sentosa Island is on the agenda today. Been once before in 2005 - it was the kids first cable car ride however, they don't remember......time to rectify that.

Taxi up to Mt Faber & we're off.

Man the money has been sunk into this Island over the past 7 odd years....as the saying goes - Singapore will be great when they finish building it :)

Some before & after shots......

Nice digs - pity it's on the door step of one of the worlds busiest shipping ports.

The before and after shots are interesting. I have been to SIN a few times, but never made the trip to Sentosa. One day...

A few more shots from the cable car...

The black dots in the bottom left hand pool are dolphins

Better shot of the dolphins

Can you imagine this place on a weekend:shock:

We only wanted to do two things - Cable Car & the Luge Run.

The Luge was great fun - family package of 10 runs so the adults has 2 each & the kids 3......price includes the luge lift back to the top.

This is the bottom of the run & the lift back to the top. Fast & fun....two runs that spilt at the start & merge down the bottom - the merging on a busy day must see some close shaves.

With Sentosa Is behind us we head back to MBS to check out the Art Science Museum & their LEGO exhibition ArtScience Museum | Singapore Museum | Marina Bay Sands Singapore

BTW they have a Mummy exhibition with the British Museum:cool: .......starting on the 27th April.

Before the museum we head into the mall and sit down at Din Tai Fung - great dumplings & lunch:D

Walking into the LEGO show I was thinking - will we bump into ReLoad no such luck. The show was better than I thought & we all enjoyed it.

Amazing what can be built out of those blocks!

Thanks. Never thought I'd bother writing a TR however, after reading so many & getting great tips from other members - I thought it was one way I could give back.

I recommend everyone partake in a few days in SIN;)

Great trip report. Haven't stayed in Singapore for a few years so it is good to get the current info.

Cheers, the place changes every year. They build, build build....it's great to see a thriving economy in action.

The before and after shots are interesting. I have been to SIN a few times, but never made the trip to Sentosa. One day...

In 2005 it looked like the Is was nothing more than a forgotten piece of SIN - with an aquarium. One of the photos I posted (taken in 2005) shows a deserted resort with a green stagnant pool......wow, how thats changed.

Looks like a great family trip, I think that Luge is a definite winner, must keep that info away from the kids ;)

I think that was the Asian Village.

is that a normal buffet in that it's all laid out and you help yourself or is it an order off the menu and they bring it to you? it's a very clean table compared to my usual fill the plate and pile it high method!

After the exhibition we headed back to the hotel for a swim & drink. Walking through the MBS mall the night before we noticed many restaurants empty or very quite......one was the exception. Mario Batali Osteria Mozza & Pizzeria Mozza.... it's really two restaurants in one Welcome to PIZZERIA MOZZA and OSTERIA MOZZA - DINING WITH US

The place was packed, looked great & the aroma drifting out to the mall was enough for us to make a booking.....the kids lobbied for the Pizza side.....Pizza for us tonight.

Appealing shopfront.....Osteria Mozza is to the left. This photo was taken the next day around 4pm.

Yummy...

The best Pizzas I've eaten.

P3.jpg

We also had a few antipasti which were lip licking good.

Great night & a must visit if you like Italian....if we were staying another night we would have eaten at the other one (Osteria) as the food looked amazing. After eating lovely local fare over the previous 6 days - it was nice to share a pizza & a nice bottle of red:cool:

I've had a hankering for pizza all day. They look soooooo good.

Really good TR (not just the food). Thanks for taking the time to post.

Looking forward to it.

Keep safe on your travels & stay away from sleepy looking taxi drivers;)

Interesting.....so more an authentic look rather than neglect;)

Not a buffet - no food is on display.

You order from the menu as per normal service.....menu is left on the table for constant reference. The service is very efficient & unlimited - we had a two hour session & took full advantage. Full & satisfied was the overwhelming feeling when leaving. The free flow Veuve also contributed to the state of happiness.

Clearly stated on the menu is a *Food wastage charge of SGD$15 per 100gm* .....makes you wonder what some people get up to:shock:

LOL I hope you got a pizza for dinner!

They were brilliant, crusty, tasty & tremendous flavour.....great range of toppings.

Would love to have one now!

Do they do delivery?

I always loved variety in SIN.. with the exception.. Woke up one morning, after a huge night.. missed the breakfast.. Turned on the TV.. There it was.. Maccas delivered.. within 20 mins, but the IC in Bugis was not so impressed, I had to come to the entrance to collect it!
Fair deal.. I thought.
The Roti Prata is always my favoured choice in SIN, amongst too many delicacies. :D

Loves the TR! Jotting down some things to do when we are there too :)
