If I have a stay, of, say from 26 Dec to 3 Jan, and the status year ends on 31 December, will all the nights be counted to the new year, or will they be pro-rated?

I guess if they all count to the new year, and I wanted some in the old, I'd just make 2 separate bookings and not get them linked?

Got a chance of making Diamond this year but will need every night to count.

They would all credit to the new year.
The date you checkout is all that matters.
You can always spend a little bit more on your stays if you want to push over Diamond. Every little bit of spend helps to get the 26k

If you don't already have it, consider a Signature subscription for a couple of months as you will get a good slice of status points with that to help push you over the line if you are only a few thousand under. It costs me about $170-190 per month (depending on exchange rate ) and if you stay in the program for four months, you will get 4,000 status points (1,000 per month) ,plus 20,000 reward points (5,000 per month) and a bonus 5,000 reward points for staying 4 months, which can be used for $ off stays. You can cancel at any time with the monthly subscription.

So when you get to 5 months out, you could do your numbers and see if this is of value to you. I say 5 months, because in typical Accor style, it is not that straightforward to register, and it takes a few days after each monthly payments for the points to arrive, so you would not want to leave it too close to the deadline.

Signature status points are on top of the status points you earn for hotel night stays. And a big thanks again to @sudoer for suggesting this avenue to me last year. It has been great for me, saving the need for mattress runs that would have cost me easily 6 months worth of membership cost - and I now have a lot of reward points that I am redeeming quite easily for partial or full payment of stay nights (although that does reduce the status point earn on those stays).

Definitely a very good suggestion to people who are going to be close and do t want to do a mattress run.
Would look at jumping on before any “enhancements” are made

This is what I’ve been doing the past couple of years too. It’s gold especially now that Accor is limiting the free nights you can get using other “hacks” like Accor China which I’ve also used in the past.

Thanks – signed on last Black Friday sale. 😊
