A new level of weird - random perfume attack

I've also seen it happen when someone is accused of inappropriate rear emissions... somehow they think it masks the smell.

The fact that this was a flight ex PER I would put money on this guy being either a rig pig or a miner FIFO type flying home to QLD who's travelling on a company paid ticket but used his own points for an ODU.

Drugs will turn an ordinary person into a fruitcake & IMHO 2A's behaviour is typical of this.

I was boarding a flight PER/SYD when I heard the CSM ask ground staff "is there anything I need to know about the guys in 3E&F"? When I walked past they just appeared to be raucous cashed up bogans but as I was in whY I don't know how they behaved on the rest of the flight. I did seem them at the baggage carousel collecting identical red duffle bags with their (petroleum) company's name on it.

Drugs are are huge problem for the CUB is these industries & I would love to see Police & drug detector dogs at fhe boarding gates in places like PER & DRW. The only question is how many pax & bags would have to be offloaded from each flight?

You are speculating, he could have been a bank Johhny for all you know.

So I guess you could say that you avoided getting into a stink.....

Hold the fort turbo. I have to disagree with your assumptions on this one. :)

I have been random drug tested once a month for the past 6 months, with 1 test being 3 days apart from the last. Thats the nature of mining, random drug & alcohol. Almost daily we now hear on site of someone getting a window seat due to a failed D& A test, so I seriously doubt this was a FIFO Miner on drugs.

If anything I would suggest a FIFO Miner who flew from the Pilbara to PER in the arvo, as m oct do, and then spent a few hours knocking back beers in the QP before boarding to BNE. That is of course all assuming it was actually a FIFO Miner and not some Woolworths Rep or the like returning to BNE.

This really stinks.

I'm surprised the CSM didn't reek havoc.

Fragrantly anti-social behaviour like this is not acceptable.

You never know. Sometimes things escalate and an early de-scent is required.

I'm here all week.

Are you sure it wasn't a Chaser stunt??

I'll ask again... there is nothing wrong with my question......

Was the person "all there" or was he mentally challenged ?

I have dealt with quite a few people who just don't understand social norms.. One of them just goes around hugging random people which makes it hard out in public....

Do they have a big belly and red hat, that sort of stuff is OK at this time of year!

No :p The kid has a heart of gold and you can't help but love it, but he just hugs everyone.... Makes me think that is what the person who sprayed the perfume was like..

I prefer to use mistletoe in various locations....at this time of year

You really can't generalise from what people wear. For info the guy was early 30's and looked a little rough around the edges....but then again I know a few executive types who can look a bit rough when off duty.

If this had happened to me, I would suffer an imediate allergic reaction, with my skin itching, eyes watering and severe headache. Just thinking about it gives me shivers!

For info. P1 service desk phoned to check everything was all right, confirm that the crew had reported it and that I was happy at how the crew dealt with the issue.
