Listening to the radio today and one item was that the inaugural flight of the Concorde was 2/3/1969.So happy birthday to our dear departed Concorde.

Only once when i was young did i get the chance.
I only wish i could have flown the Concorde again when i was older. I almost did but time and budget did not allow me to take one of the last flights.

Its still nice to see them preserved but they really were one of a kind in the sky (ok forget the Tu's) and we will probably not ever see anything like it again unless there is some drastic breakthrough in fuels or propulsion.

Happy Birthday !

E

Sigh! I would love to fly on a Concorde. Alas, the best I've had is walking through a preserved cabin.

I have not achieved that even though it is on my list :!:

A sad personal byline is that every aircraft type that I flew in the military is now in the the RAAF Museum at Point Cook. :(

I admired the Concorde when I was younger but unfortunately never got a chance to fly in one when I started travelling....
