The food generally looks better than what was offered in the Golden Princess earlier this month. The usual slab of meat and veg on one night (think it was roast beef) and a few other unremarkable dishes on the others. I had the souffle which was not nearly as risen as yours and of course they did not mention there would be a wait (which of course I knew would be the case). It was tasty but not spectacular. The IC was permanently full, no tables to be had at all for the whole cruise. People seemed to stake a claim and sit there to watch whatever was happening in the Piazza. We did get a table on the morning we left though so at least did get a coffee from there.

I did ask if there would be a wait for the soufflé and he said no. Within 5 minutes it had arrived and was hot.
Ultimate balcony dinner tonight.
Just 2 formal nights on a 12 night cruise with NYE being the first one tomorrow night after a Lombok port stop.

Everyone seems to be behaving this cruise and there is a large contingent of Russians whom are being discussed. In the lift last night I was standing at the back with MrP and was hefted aside by a very large woman who clearly thought that it was the easiest way to make space for she and her friend.

Have also seen my bosom buddy quite a few times. Barking orders still.

We had 2 dedicated waiters for approximately 3 hours plus a photo shoot. An extra charge but for a special celebration it was excellent. We had perfect weather.

The menu was a little limited. We swapped out the huge salad for French Onion soup. The canapés were delicious. Plus a blue cheese baked quiche. Then surf and turf for MrP and just turf for me. Cooked to perfection. Plus a coughtail and half a bottle of fuette champagne. Then a plate of nibbles that ended up in the fridge.

High tide and great place for the fireworks.

Love a good Bali style hard sell and massage. Price agreed for 5 massages and then the price disputed after completion. Every one ends up a bit sh*tty.

A couple missed the boat. We'd been cruising for 20 minutes when one of the local tender boats came roaring up.

Mid water transfer.

That boat looks underpowered! ;)

That's unusual isn't it? I would have thought the late pax would have had to make their own way to the next port.
Very very unusual.
I think the issue is that the ship retained our passports. The next port is Malaysia so they would have no way of getting out of Indonesia and into anywhere. Let alone buy tickets etc. I'm actually surprised the ship left without them as they have to account for passengers for the visas. I suspect a few heads rolled on both sides.
How could grumpy cat be grumpy with that table??

True to form then.

That boat looks underpowered! ;)

Didn't it just!

How was NYE on board?

Well, we celebrated the Aussie NYE
It wasn't all that noisy. Everyone looked a bit tired and emotional around 11pm. Bands taking a rest before midnight and suspect all the plastic top hats given away ended up in the drink.

Dinner was nice. Pics in a sec when I crop them.
