Most landmarks exist because there's something to see there - usually some kind of natural phenomena or impressive man-made structure. But have you ever visited a particular landmark or location that was special purely because of some kind of geographical quirk? And do you do anything special while there?

I'm thinking of places like the exact line of the equator, Tropic of Capricorn or Arctic Circle, a shared border between three or more countries, the international date line, etc.

For example, I once visited the line of the equator in Ecuador. There was a museum there with a...

Well, let's look at the facts. The Earth is most certainly not flat. Just look around. There are lots of humps and bumps around. Some we call hills. Some we call mountains. Some we call valleys. They very much exist as real non-flat feature of the planet we call Earth and are 100% necessary to keep the water enclosed. Without these non-flat features, all the water would flow over the edges and we would all die of thirst.

Well, let's look at the facts. The Earth is most certainly not flat. Just look around. There are lots of humps and bumps around. Some we call hills. Some we call mountains. Some we call valleys. They very much exist as real non-flat feature of the planet we call Earth and are 100% necessary to keep the water enclosed. Without these non-flat features, all the water would flow over the edges and we would all die of thirst.

All you sillies! If Mum Eartha is flat along with all her far-flung planet rellies they'd be Frisbees and wobble off anywhere.
The truth is obvious that they're drones to keep their orbits in good sync.

Maybe the Earth is flat. I remember being on a cruise in New Zealand and the ship (Ovation of the Seas) had to turn around and go back when we reached the end of the waterway. It was a very spectacular part of the country.
