9 points/$ at partner hotels for now to Dec '15 - book by Monday 8th

Only posting this because I never get to take advantage of these offers - my timetable is too rigid.

However, last night I went to book ParkRoyal at MEL for my return from Burma and on the spur of the moment I looked at Qantas hotels booking - pleased to see the same price as ParkRoyal's web site and an amazing 9 points per $. Sold!

Then got an e-mail about the offer this morning .. its bookable until the 8th, for a stay up to 5 Dec 2015.

For those with a Platinum Edge/DJ's/a few other cards from Amex... you'd be better off booking under their HotelClub bonus points offer (for a total of 11 points per $1 - regardless if you credit to QF direct or credit to Amex MR). Has to be booked from the link on the Amex site though.

I looked as well.

Not too excited about room rates for points earning hotels outside of Bangkok in Thailand. Can live without the points.
