Have a 7am Dept from Haneda on QF26 to SYD next year.

The last few days of the trip I'll be nearer to Shibuya, but for 7am I'd prefer to be as close to the airport as possible so would move on the last day.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a hotel nearby that has a good transfer or another way of getting to T3 on time?

Keen to know as well. I've got an 8:40 am HND departure coming up next year. While it seems plenty of time, I know I'll be stuffing around with the Takkyubin ski gear courier as well

I can recommend the Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda which is landside and 5 mins' walk from T3: it's quite new and located in a large shopping centre attached to the terminal, with the route completely under cover and easy with wheeled cases. Used it earlier this year to stay for one night between flights, would stay again.

As noted above there is also the RP which is actually in the terminal. It has both airside and landside 'halves' (completely separate obviously). I have not yet used it but there have been positive reviews here on AFF.

Yes, recommend either Villa Fontaine Grand or slightly more xxy sister VF Premier. Apart from the ease of level walk to Intl checkin (10-12 mins) there is also a very good range of food avail in the attached mall. So you can hv a good dinner the night before.

Absol recommend as an antidote to the 4am wake-up and transfer..

I’m another vote for villa Fontaine Haneda. It was opened in December 2022 and we had an overnight there after a surprise snowstorm upended our ski transfer to Shiga Kogen. It was fantastic. As noted upthread, and easy walk 5 mins inside a mall connected directly to the terminal. A Family Mart right near the hotel. A great Onsen, yes it’s worth the hotel guest price. And you could take the luggage trolley from the airport and leave it with reception for the next day. We needed that as we had ski gear as well as bags.

It is hard to get to/from Haneda for late night and early morning flights when you need to arrive at the airport while most of the public transport options are closed for the night.

There are a limited amount of night buses or using the expensive taxi. Unfortunately many of the night bus routes, including the Shibuya area route, still haven't resumed after covid related shutdowns, so looking to move to a hotel near the airport is a good idea.

There are 2 hotels at HND T3, the already mentioned Royal Park and Villa Fontaine Grand. There is another by the T1/2 (mostly) domestic terminals, Excel Hotel Tokyu.
There are also a handful of hotels just off the airport property, many of while have shuttles over to the airport terminals.hnd.png

…And there is a free shuttle bus between all the Haneda terminals - but I don’t know what time in the morning they start to run.

0445-2440, every 4-5 minutes.

You can also move between the airport stations on the trains (both lines) for free, but it's for connections only and you need to get a ticket for the train from an airport information desk and show passport/travel details.

Not that I can add thing to the post however am interested to know around what date QF26 changes from an evening flight to a morning one. If there was some type of announcement I must have missed that.

I am currently in The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda Airport Terminal 3. I arrived this evening from BKK and head off to London tomorrow morning.

Arrived on level two, went up to level three and walked down towards the 'N' check in desk and then turned right.

Ironically I'm in room 747. The room is Japanese small but perfectly functional.

Couple of tips, take a photo of the internet code at the front desk, I thought I had but it automatically connected my phone to the internet.

The only power points in the room are Japanese, if you need an adaptor ask for it from the front desk.
