Hi,
Just booked J on VA7, the only window seats available are row 9+10, I'm currently 10K. I'm concerned about light and noise from the bar.

As a single traveller I would prefer window but there are some centre seats in the front cabin, can anyone advise what the rear cabin is like, I've only done rows 4-6 before.

Many Thanks!

I think first row aft of the bar might be an issue but after than would be fine. All round I prefer the larger J cabin, I've been in the row of that and no noise I could discern. But the curtain is behind you and thus you are not noticing light etc.

I've sat in the first seat in the 2nd cabin and can confirm light from the bar was annoying everytime someone opened the curtain. I think it was 11K?

Note that the centre seats in rows 1 and 2 are normally blocked being held back. They are often actually not allocated and can become available a day or three before the flight. ;)

Thanks, but its window I'm after as I'm travelling alone, don't suppose they get held back too?

If you're facing the curtain then yes but depends on the crowd, my last flight in May would have been a pretty wild noisy mob. I feel bad for that now.

I’m just back from a trip. Sat in row 11 on way there and 8 way back. I prefer the smaller cabin.

Previous trip was in 1A and felt that was more annoying spot with foot traffic to toilets and staff going to galley.

Minimal traffic through back cabin and bar didn’t seem an issue.

Same experience for me on my last flights - 1A was too close to the front galley and lots of people going back and forth.

Middle rows in the back J cabin were much better.
