We have a 6.5 hour lay over in LA before the flight to MEL. What are the different lounge options available at LA , note I am not a Gold/Platinum member hence VA/Emirates lounge is not an option. Appreciate any inputs/suggestions.
OT, but if I had the money to invest - I would build a fabulous small hotel near LAX (or any major X airport) and offer "day rooms" for people such as yourself. The rates would be basic and affordable - and offer simple facilities such as showers, daybeds (no sheets) and TV's PLUS a scale in every room for luggage. There would be a café style restaurant downstairs and a well appointed workstation for the business types. And don't forget the shuttle!
I've lost count how many times our family has shelled out a full night's accommodation near LAX, just so we have somewhere to hang between a 10am checkout and an 11pm departure.

That's a very long time to spend in a lounge.
Yes , it is indeed. However we will be changing terminals from domestic to international , clear the security and then head to lounge.
Hilton LAX provide day rooms I recall from my last trip staying with them

Most airport hotels sell a day room, some quote silly prices but just walk to the next one. They are usually clustered in walking distance.OT, but if I had the money to invest - I would build a fabulous small hotel near LAX (or any major X airport) and offer "day rooms" for people such as yourself.
