G`Day,

Just got this from a friend, it seems if you have a German issued Amex card you can now transfer 5 membership rewards for 4 BA miles. It appears that presently this only applies to local (German) cards. In Australia it stops with Qantas in Germany it starts with BA…….Strange old world we live in. It just goes to show you Amex is (not) a Global company????

American Express Membership Rewards

If you are enrolled in the American Express Membership Rewards programme, you can transfer your points into BA Miles quickly and easily online or by calling Membership Rewards on 069 9797 1515.
Membership Rewards online
Points transfer starts at 1,000 Membership Rewards points and can be increased in increments of 500. Your BA Miles should be added to your account within five working days.
Please note that you must be a local member of both the British Airways Executive Club and the American Express Membership Rewards programme to be able to transfer your points.

Kind regards, Traveller F

Actually as on April 1, QF is no longer an automatic Amex Partner to transfer points to in Oz.

However with Amex you can transfer to a pool of other airlines including SQ.

Amex is a global company. The MR program is, however, specific to each country.
