I was hanging out for this but the travel period doesn't suit at all!

Agree.

Does anyone know if they have sales for the European summer and when they might be?

Thanks for the link tk14, have been waiting on sales in China for March/April.

No - I didn't receive an email about it (although I would love to have....?? not sure what is with their system). Found it on another forum.

The Private Sale deals are on Accor LeClub Facebook. If you are on Facebook just 'Like' Accor and you will get updated on all the specials.
Welcome to social media-it took me years to get enthused about it!!!

Ok thanks. Will do so although I never use facebook much but my girlfriend does. I just rang them and they have reset my preferences to get all the email. Normally I don't want the spam but with 27 weeks travelling this year some of these deals are great.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately looking to book for a bit later in the year. Anyone know what sort of discount Sofitel Melbourne ever offer? Am looking at the Prestige Suite which seems pretty good value at ~390 per night (apparently 25% for booking 3 nights), just wondering if it will get any better than that?

There's often 2 Sofitel sales a year, can't remember when but I know I'm staying at the So Bangkok tomorrow night which I booked on a 40% off sale. That was back in Oct I think.

Hi indigo1, unless you are planning to make use of the sofa bed (family booking) or need entertaining space I'd recommend just choosing a Club Room instead (tip: ask for a Club room with a walk-in shower - much better than the shower over bath in most of the rooms). The only real difference between a Club Room and Prestige Suite is the living/dining room and it's corner aspect. Most of the Club rooms have more than enough space for a travelling couple, and you'll spend most of your time in the Club Sofitel Lounge anyway (it's one of the best in Australia).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

OT - I trust you will be training?

I'm only coming from the Bangkok Pullman G today but it was fantastic driving into Bangkok yesterday from Hua Hin - Zero traffic!! All the Bangkok Shutdown seemed to do was empty the roads so it was easy to get around. (At least where I was). Will be interesting to see how much traffic there is today. Heaps going past the Pullman now.

Also a little OT, but how do I change from map view to list view of properties? For whatever reason this only occurs for Sydney. Driving me insane!

I'm experiencing the same issue. Very annoying indeed and basically caused me to give up.

I agree-this seemed to change about 2 weeks ago and I now hate searching the website for Sydney hotels.

I booked Novotel Toronto for three nights for $CAD 304. Pretty good seeing as I was looking at a backpackers for almost $100 per night for the two of us.
