Hi There, I have 429K velocity points. Hoping someone in the know could recommend the best way to use them to get my wife and I to Fort Lauderdale (return). Leaving late dec 2015 and back mid Jan 2016 from either Brisbane or Sydney. Preferably business class:). Realise it may be to late as it is peak season but thought I would ask?

I would say "no chance" SCC -there's been quite a bit of discussion of late because VA awards, especially from Oz to anywhere in the US, have become scarcer than hens' teeth, even if trying to book them 10-11 months in advance. The fact you want to fly over the Xmas holiday period just makes an award out of the question - even if you bought tickets you're unlikely to even get any discount fares at this late stage
