Only the most civilised are allowed into the QP these days:

I always stuff cough into my bags when im in a Qantas Lounge, last week in Brisbane it was party pies, brought a tupperware and stuffed about 20 pies into it. Yesterday in Sydney it was Tim Tam's.

Even though my membership is through QFF Gold I'll still always find a way to be a tight cough haha.

No mention of joining fees.

An AFF Gold member has access to cheaper renewal rates than this though there is a joining fee required if appropriate.

The prices quoted in the OP are inclusive of joinng fees.

1 year
$306.00 + $231.00
$537.00
2 year $554.00 + $231.00 $785.00
4 year $1,053.00 + $231.00 $1,284.00

A good deal for a new member, then renew through AFF's corporate scheme in the future.

Offtopic... but if I saw someone stuffing 20 party pies into a Tupperware container I'd probably taddle... as that's how benefits are removed or prices are increased, through people acting like that!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Just out of curiousity - do QF Club members receive any benefits not available to gold or higher status pax?

I don't believe so. Priority check-in and extra baggage would be around the Silver level I'd have thought while lounge access is around the Gold level.

My Qantas Gold membership is expiring in August and I was hoping to purchase a 4 year QP membership, however it says I currently have a Qantas Club membership, despite never purchasing it directly. Any idea how or if I can get around this?
