3K or MH SIN-KUL?

I'm wondering about which carrier I should use across the Straits if I want to gain SCs.

Currently 3K is 180SGD return with luggage and starter bundle but $30 more each way for exit row, which I feel I'd need because the seats feel tiny.

MH is 360SGD, not sure if seat selection costs anything.

The flight times are ~7pm out from SIN. I figure I won't get lounge access in KUL on 3K but as OWS will get lounge on MH. I'll have QP in SIN but will the lunge be open if I'm on 3K?


Any other factors, however minor? Do I priority boarding on MH etc.?

Go 3K, why spend tha much extra for a 40 minute flight?

Personally, I would go the 3K option, if it's just about SCs.

The difference between the on board service is minnimal (MH will have peanuts and a drink, 3K with the bundle will have a (not very good) sandwich and drink.

On 3K, the 1000 point minimum earn will also kick in, while on MH you won't get many points at all.

MH and 3K use different terminals at Changi, so not sure how that will affect you.

QF lounge (or whatever lounge you are authorised to use) should be open at 7pm.
