35 thousand protest against Jetstar Credit Card Fees

With new Credit regulations introduced this year Jetstar still have their credit card surcharge fee. A guy on the GC launched a petition.

More than 35,000 people nationwide have signed a change.org petition started by Gold Coast businessman Klaus Bartosch, calling on Jetstar to scrap its $8.50 credit card surcharge on purchases.
Mr Bartosch, who printed out the names of signatories to the online petition to create the paper plane, said the inflated surcharge was masked as a service fee to bolster profits.
"Every credit card holder in Australia should be worried," he said before he hand-delivered the paper plane to a Jetstar official.

"It's just a complete rip-off."

Everybody still has their credit card surcharge at this point. Jetstar's is probably rather rich for the kinds of prices they offer, but beyond the point.

This whole posturing effort and what not by RBA / ACCC / whatever excuse of an "authority" that drafted these new guidelines has gone to the dogs.

I was reading a piece by someone that the new regs are virtually useless.
