Very interesting... Redeeming via China Southern could have great potential as a real under the radar way of getting to Europe from Australia, especially from Adelaide which has fewer international options than the other major capitals. I've just had a look at their seasonal flights from ADL to CAN starting in December and there's 6-7 economy seats available on every date. It's the same story on their flights from CAN to LHR. I hope they will consider releasing some business class seats in the future on these routes. This would be a gamechanger for me in December: QR Australia - Europe usually has great Avios pricing and good availability year round, except around Christmas when they only release rip-off flexi tickets.
