Can these be used if a AA flight purchased as part of a QF ticket and having a QF flight number. Ie, QF flight number on AA metal? And does it need to be used before the end of the month or just redeemed?

If yes to the first and yes to the latter option, I would like to put my hand up for my mother who is flying DCA to DFW in Y towards of the end of Feb.
