Interesting, the first line of T&C in the email reads "To be eligible you need to be a member of both flybuys and Velocity Frequent Flyer and be personally sent this offer."

Oh, I didn't notice that! It was one of the promo tiles on the Velocity site itself, that's how I found it... so maybe they're personally targeting everybody who visits the website

I just got an email through welcoming me to velocity explore Gold.

If any of you transferred the 10k flybuys points I'd suggest keeping an eye out for an email from velocity.

Just a warning that Flybuys are seemingly quite unreliable on applying partner offers, so don't transfer if you have travel in the next few months you'd want to use to get to your 80 status points. Expect it to take many hour long phone calls and threats to have any chance of actually getting the Gold applied to your account (I still haven't on the Coles Mastercard offer almost 3 months later). Looking at best option to get the 80 required to maintain.

Darn. Has Anyone transferred the 10k without getting the email, and it worked for them (ie they got upgraded to the gold status)? I'm tempted to try as i really want this.

Previous Explore Gold offers let you have Silver status for 12 months if you didn't make the 80SC requirement. Any word whether this is the case this time as well? There's seems to be no mention of this in the email.

VA the lounge access can be bought for Au$65 in the domestic side of things, so if no offers if a give away come up on here.
There is also a branch in here dedicated to lounge access giveaways from one member if here to another member.
VA the lounge is nothing to crow about if you compare it to others.

I took the offer from flybuys, gold status confirmed 22 sep. I generally fly qantas both for work and personal. Will fly VA in coming months to suss out their service and in the process if I manage 80 SC, it's a bonus.
Appreciate any info you guys can provide on Hilton honors gold status match(if such thing exists)

This isn't available through the Explore Gold promotion but once you earn 80SC and hold fully fledged status you'll be eligible for it

Did anyone have any luck getting this without being targeted?
I wasn't targeted, but transferred via the invitation link on the afternoon of 26th (last minute).
Assuming I did not get the status due to not being targeted, but it is possible it was due to the limit of transfers being exceeded (and promo was for first 10,000 people to transfer).
Did anyone else who did not get targeted transfer is the invitation link? Or did anyone who was targeted transfer late and miss out?

Quick question, if booking return flights for 2 people (ie: 'family'), which allows the transfer of points and SC; could it be workable to use the transferred sc to be treated as part of the 80sc bonus?

Ie: myself & partner flying interstate, I've got her linked to auto transfer any points sc earnt.
