OK just a few thoughts / musings on EK F
  • Still pretty plasticy fake blingy appearance
  • One big + that knocked the Ette's socks off - Senior Cabin Crew Member Gavin took pic with Polaroid cam of the pair of us and mounted in Souvenir folder - this just flawed here - what a simple idea for a great free souvenir for a couple
  • Purser Gilbert advised EK laid off 6K crew members during covid - vast majority didn’t come back for various reasons - EL frantically trying to recruit new Crew Members and fast tracking promo for existing- Senior Crew Members are also being called back in to do extra shifts to crew planes as staff shortages bite just as SQ
  • Only ever done handful of EK F flts b4 but IFM Gilbert welcomed me back - I quizzed him about this - he said he always studies history of his F pax on every flt
  • So first glaring diff I notice SQ / EK F is female Crew Member on EK stays in galley and prepares food - SQ usually opposite where female attend pax not male who stays in galley (exlc Purser) - I asked Gavin about this - NO no sexism here - yesterday on outbound flt rolese were reversed.
  • Sleeper Suits - handed out on o/n flights >4:40hrs or day flts >7hrs - OR - just ask for 1 and they will give to you 👍

Cabin Crew for 777 - EK 13 Crew Members - SQ 16 Crew Members

As I always do on all flts I walked back through all cabins and crew down in Y were working their coughs off

I asked Glibert how many kids onboard - 14 was the answer so i counted out 14 Koalas

Here is Nicols from Edinburgh rready to hand out the Koalas

Nicola returned to tell me she showed Gavin the Koalas she was handing out to kids and his reply - 'OMG I have been to Australia a dozen times and I have never seen these - I would love one for my son!'
