I thought I would start a new poll to find out how many FF's plan on taking advantage of the bonus 25% Velocity points.

I intend to transfer some points over for the bonus and some competition entries. Not sure how many yet, or when I'm going to do it.

Unfortunately there's no bonus for those of us who are using NAB's direct sweep Velocity Card. :(

No intention to transfer any points to Velocity and MR points are staying in Amex.

I don't need to go anyway in a hurry but if I did then I still think the KrisFlyer award rates at the moment represent better value than Velocity even with the 25% bonus.

25 % bonus is one thing......

The problem for me is how would I burn points. My preference is on long haul internationals.....and so for me Virgin does not cut the mustard.

This is also the problem I have with Velocity. I have enough points from flying to take a domestic trip pretty much anywhere. The massive burn rates on Velocity partners for international trips makes them unattractive, so there is no reason to transfer points in. The redemption rates on MH are worse than QF (and with much higher taxes), EK is about the same.

And while there's no information on the website about premium classes, I can only assume that if it's based on the anyseat philosophy it's not worth asking about. Just look at the DJ premium economy rates - PER-SYD return is 244,800!

Bring on points upgrades!
