I've had a very nice, quiet, three months at home; no queues, no DYKWIA's, no delays, etc. but just assembled the last of the trip starting 5th Sept. Looking very ugly and to be done in 22 days!

MEL > SIN > KUL > BKK > DOH > CDG > HEL > OUL > HEL > ARN > LHR > VIE > ATH > AXD > ATH > CDG > DOH > BKK > BNE > MEL

And don't even get the chance to watch Crystal Palace play, bummer!

No, unfortunately, as it would be a different routing. It's all work except for ARN, for 26 hours, to do some bird watching. I work in an industry (you can probably guess from my handle!) that doesn't build operations close to cities. The Greek leg doesn't go near a Greek isle, but a place where tourists don't exist!
My European memories are not of the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, but of Cospa Mica, the 2nd most polluted place in Europe.

You might need them.This morning my grandson's football in South Perth was interrupted by lightning and hail. I had to go home early because I was soaked and freezing. According to my car it was 8C at 10:15.

Holy Christ it was cold on Saturday wasn't it. Our Auskick game went ahead in the freezing cold, after the hail had stopped. Then he went and played another little game at half time of the ammos in the late arvo, and I got drenched again.

Well Margaret River here we come. It’s grey, damp, cool but hopefully this is the only wet day as we drive down after landing in Perth last night.

His game, 10 yrs old, apparently resumed later for a short last quarter. But by that time I was at home with a change of clothes and and a cup of hot soup. More hail and thunder again this morning Willetton way.

@GarrettM and @OZDUCK - we did the weather thing on recent travels too - but in reverse! We went to Sydney for the weekend from Canberra. Mr Seat0A and I minded Seat granddaughter so her parents could enjoy an early morning scenic run down to the Harbour and through the Domain. They came back and said, wow it was 8 degrees this morning, really warm - it's usually -3 degrees on our morning runs at home crazy what you get used to isn't it!
