Looking to plan my 2026 family holiday (4pax), my kids are getting to an age (4yo & 7yo) where we can start venturing further.

Looking for some suggestions from what others have done or enjoyed previously.

We do enjoy all kinds of holidays so open to hearing everyone’s amazing holiday experiences.

Probably don’t want to be flying too far (we are in Sydney). I have plenty of QFF and Velocity so would be looking for reward flights where possible.

We do enjoy a nice hotel/resort experience. I was considering rejoining Accor+ Explorer so bonus points if anyone has any suggestions that can get me a good deal with this.

Lets see what we can come up with

When our lad was in that age range we took him to Hong Kong and he absolutely loved it. Disneyland and Ocean park was superb for him. The following year he went to Singapore and Tapei and loved both. 2 weeks in HK for the 3 of us was cheaper than 4 days in the Gold Coast would’ve cost. He also loved Bali at that age.

Great suggestions, I will have a look into them.

We went to Bali when we just had the one child (I think he would have been about one and a half). Stated at the Sofitel and loved it. Would consider going back if there was a good deal. I wonder if anyone knows if ALL BOGOF nights are valid there?

We took our kids to North Island of NZ at that around that age or a bit older and they loved Rotarua (boiling mud puddles and fart smell 👍👍👍, plus we went to the Polynesian spa which they also loved) and adventure activities such as easy river rafting, easy caving around Lake Taupo area, farm stay with sheep and goats, kiwi farm at Te Puke, zorbing and zip lining. We skipped South Island as wineries and scenery were not their thing.

We also visited White Island Whakaari which was fabulous - completely oblivious to the danger.
