Not much action in P1 and 2.
PIA down a bit.

Some good radio messages but with 9 rookies in the cars.

Not a bad starting position for Oscar.. He can sit there and watch and take risks by doing the opposite to Lando.

I predict Lando will be told to be conservative at the start and whatever happens just stick on Max's tail the whole race.

Max needs to try and take risks however so that might backfire on Lando.

@ $2.50 for the race win, my money is on Max.
NOR only has to finish on the podium if VER wins, so he won’t do anything risky with him. He’ll be happy to follow.

PIA will relinquish a position if it means his teammate wins the WDC.

I think we’re about to see what ultra-aggressive PIA looks like. He has to be and they know it.

Most likely:
VER pulls away and the others can’t get him due ‘dirty air’. NOR plays it very safe and PIA gets him at turn one. They probably finish in that order: VER wins and NOR gets WDC.

Most interesting:
NOR plays safe and drives for third. PIA goes super dive bomb mode and actually gets VER. With PIA leading, VER will fight him and we have an interesting race. Well, at least until McLaren put PIA on another stupid tyre strategy and he misses the podium…

Off to a good start......... PIA has passed NOR, but NOR is still in a championship winning position in P3. PIA 2 seconds behind VER. PIA and NOR on different tyres though. LEC right on the tail of NOR.......

All wrapped up for NOR then ....... VER 2nd, PIA 3rd in the championship.

Race result VER, PIA, NOR.

Was actually quite a ho hum race. Tyres and stops were the talking points rather than cars actually closely racing each other for position on track.
It’s been a little like that most of the season…
