Was nice to watch it live on tv while eating a steak for dinner, at a restaurant in Tashkent. Only seemed to be one other table interested and sounded like they were Max fans.

Love how SKY gloss over the fact that NOR retained second by McLaren shafting PIA.
As Nico said promised no undercut is OK but if you stuff up the pitstop by 4 seconds tough luck!
NOR gave away priority, like giving someone a Lotto ticket, which then wins, and saying you want it back...VER laughing at them on the radio was Gold, even SKY got that.
VER would have had "radio issues" if he got that message.

NOR only got into starting 2nd off a tow from PIA in quali...he was nearly out.
PIA was slower than NOR for most of the weekend but.
NOR booed on podium, the crowd knew it was fixed.

Good to see VER back and some overtaking anyway.

Mclaren Principles will save FIA and teams billions of $$$, you must finish in the same order as you qualify....no need for the cost and bother of a race really!

I hope Mark Webber has a lucrative get out of jail free card for Oscar for the future if they continue to treat him so badly. Other teams would jump at him.

Jamie Chadwick had a slightly different perspective on the matter, suggesting that it may come to benefit Piastri in the closing races of the season -:

“They need to keep the morale in the team good still. Oscar will have a few questions and I think he’ll make sure if this situation ever happens again he will be on the right side of it, which I think is a very valuable thing for Oscar to have in his pocket when he needs it.”

“Oscar has a good points advantage, he knows he doesn’t need to upset the apple cart at this point.

“If he didn’t give that position back today that would have also set a precedent for the rest of this year.”

While it irked me to hear the team order and see him acquiesce without much debate, I nevertheless felt that it was the smart thing to do. In Monza, the difference between 2nd and 3rd place was a 3 point (or 6, depending on your perspective) swing. We’re not talking about the difference between 1st and 2nd, or even 1st and 3rd. These are all chips that PIA can cash in when he really needs them. And don’t think for a moment that Webber won’t be ensuring that that’s how it plays out.
