2025 Amex Membership Rewards Devaluation

EBP @ 1c per point, but if you're not already in the system, it's too late now. 😉
EBP is still safe to use? I've tried to contact them a while a back and they became uncontactable.

They took down their app, can't add new cards, no phone contact and no response to my emails.

I always worried they will just take the funds and stop paying the bills one day.

I agree. It is less prospective ‘value’ than transferring points to airlines for premium travel now that they’ll be harder to ‘earn’ on the ground. Whilst accommodation offers good utility, it seems like a ‘waste’ to me in comparison.
Part of it also depends on what you can book using points. If you can book an executive suite at a hotel with a lounge in a nice location it can be a very nice experience indeed. The other factor to consider here is award stays earn status whereas in most instances award flight bookings do not.

Yeah, they tend to ignore all forms of communication, can't add new cards, but existing cards work well enough. I don't use the feature where you keep funds banked there though, only one-off payments where the card is charged and the biller is paid.

Whst does EBP stand for please? Entirely possible I joined/used it in past. Need an alternative to higher Yak Pay MC fee.

Haven’t used them for a while but still have an account as I get daily texts about my monthly fee being payable and the debit failing (my amplify card is long ago cancelled). I find the same, they’re mostly non responsive to emails and the one time they did respond, they refused to wipe my outstanding dues even though I was proposing to make a big payment. Shame about this avenue. It was a really good service.
