2024 F1 Thread

Hey
I just found this thread!
Rabbit hole descent @DejaBrew indeed!
I could not get live access on TEN play. Am I doing something wrong?
Well done Oscar P. Feel sorry for Daniel R - was such a brilliant driver and real character but I’m sure the media contracts will be plentiful in retirement

If I'm not mistaken, only Foxtel/Kayo offer live coverage in Australia courtesy of Uncle Rupert's conglomerate having locked in exclusive broadcast deals. The Australian GP is the exception to the rule courtesy of the anti-siphoning laws.

Thanks - that makes sense.
You get nothing for nothing!
I have registered with Australian GP 2025 for tickets access.
How likely is it to get a hospitality package for the Sunday race-day (forget about $$ for now)? When do tickets get released?

@MARTINE - recommend watching Ted's Notebook (on Fox/Kayo right now, or later on-demand). Apart from being an entertaining character, Ted's 30 minute post-race notebook report is always an interesting perspective on the race as he tells the stories we don't necessarily see or hear from the main race broadcast.

Problem is that 4K is only available via supported devices. If you're using something else, then you'll only ever get the HD stream.
Thanks, but I do have a LG 4K TV and fast NBN so do get this quality on the occasional F1 race and other streaming services. Just annoyingly inconsistent from Foxtel/KAYO despite settings being set to 4K.

Another weekend to forget for Williams and Sargeant continuing to make mistakes. It seems very unlikely that we see anyone apart from Red Bull and Ferrari win a race this season.

Usually best part of the whole show.

Agreed. As much as I like Karun running around the pits he ain't no Ted. I also feel robbed when Martin isn't there to do his grid walk.

Didn't have a good start either.. and tbh was on a poor strategy.
Also caused a bit of damage to Oscars car.

Yes he wasnt gonna stay in 7th, but Stroll was the problem there playing dodgem cars.
Some appeals etc going on according to Ted so things may change in the lower places.
Cant believe the crowd loves Lewis, havent they heard he hasnt won a race for a couple of years?
Zhou was popular as well as Hometown hero.

Ricciardo gets 3 grid spot penalty for Miami!!!
Hulk overtook him as he was shunted off by Stroll, so on the next restart he went back in front of Hulk but wasnt allowed to or something??
It would have been a 10 second penalty but he couldnt serve it as he was retired.
