I’m in Japan now for the race and the heat/humidity was beyond brutal. Probably manageable for just one day, but wouldn’t recommend doing a full weekend in the heat.
What about the heat in India for the MotoGP. It's so hot all the races have been shortened, the riders just can't do it.

Of course the shirt arrived yesterday instead of 1.5 weeks ago like it should have. So, I'm sitting at the track in my RBR shirt with the OP McLaren one sitting at home on our front porch.

Cracking race. Mixed tyres at the start definitely help... Maybe they should make it random choice.

Three pitstops certainly might make it interesting (query if those who made it into Q3 and SQ3 might be at a disadvantage)

3 safety cars in the first 10 laps sure did account for a lot of action, we sat there thinking it was going to help those who opted for the soft tyres but nope, they rapidly fell off a cliff. Which always happens in these sprint races............. but, they keep trying ;)

General comments about the venue/event, Qatar have done a really good job here. There is loads of entertainment behind the track and plenty to keep you busy all day in between the racing. Free water bottles are handed out and is neverending, also a nice little touch. Would recommend a visit to this one.

The only thing that was a bit strange for the grandstand we're in is that it is unreserved seating, haven't come across that before. Pros and Cons there, of course. If you don't like your seat, great - get up and move. But you might not find one where you want...... but, all good.

What ticket type/ grandstand are you in?

Certainly having been to Malaysia and Japan previously they had open seating on the Fri which was good to get a few different views during P1 and P2, but Sat and Sun were very much allocated.

Great to hear lots of entertainment, though I guess they need it with from what I understand no support races.

The LED display on top of the straight grandstand was pretty awesome at the end.. and something you couldn't see at the track.

Correct, no support races.

T2 so it bends around both corner 2 and 3. Great view down to turn 1 too.

New rule brought in for tonight, no tyre compound can do more than 18 laps so that means at minimum a 3 stop race. Black flag and disqualification if you do more than 18.

Very, no higher than usual and race tickets were cheap. Ended up doing a package with QR as it came in the same price us as just doing hotel and flights.

Good first lap, rest was pretty boring.
😴
On TV there was enough to keep you interested. At the circuit I think it would be a struggle though. Hope you still enjoyed.

Might look in to it for next year, it's a pretty easy race to get to.

Yeah, worth going to especially if it's a sprint weekend, that was really good.
