I just sat and spent a frustrating 90 mins trying to book my usual several rooms for the year in this sale. I've booked this time of the year for the past few years and always found fairly good availability and I generally go down to Syd for 4 - 5 weekends and the same to Melb and usually use this sale to book them, both Syd and HSW have very very poor availability, and I could not find ONE sat or fri night for the whole year, only very few limited Sun nights. Think they are being a bit cheeky calling it any weekend anywhere, when in reality its no weekends at all and only some Sunday's, so its not really a sale for anything at those hotels except for the occasional Sun night so not sure why they even participated in the sale. I will stick to HOTP, seems to be reasonable availability there and find somewhere else for our weekends away in Syd. However did just book several for our Europe stay's from Mar plus found some awesome points and pay deals out there, Dublin Conrad 60 euros and 25,000 points p/n plus the Hilton CDG for 40 euros and 15,000 points, and they are giving you 30% of your points back with a current promo until end of Jan I think, if you have lots of points saved up (and I did) there are some good deals with this promo.
