This definitely works for 1 day rentals?

I will be hiring 2 x 1 day rentals end of this month and was thinking of crediting to KrisFlyer but saw this promotion which looks much better. Mid-size rental in BNE is ~$72 so the additional 3,000 bonus miles will cost ~$45 which looks like a bargain.

Worked for me, just make sure the correct codes are applied to your booking in your confirmation and when picking up the vehicle.
And it's 1500 bonus miles on top of the 500 standard miles so 2000 total.

As expected the bonus miles have not credited even though I booked via the UA website with the correct CDP and PC#.

Send Hertz an email, explain that you booked through United and the PC code didn't get applied.
Expect a long delay for a response, and eventually they will credit your the bonus miles (1500).
Happened once to me, I always now confirm when picking up the car that the code is applied and also use the codes manually on the AU hertz website rather than using the United booking engine.
Good luck.

Thanks. Did that a few weeks ago. They fixed it relatively quickly.
