I am currently taking the 4c fuel offer, not for myself as I have a company car, but my kids use the vouchers to fill up their cars. Here's the query:-

If I swap over to the 2 FF pts offer, fill up my car, then scan my EDR card, can I pay with my company credit card (which is also a QFF point earner) and get the additional points?

There are still a few fuel vouchers on the card, so the kids wont miss out and I can switch it once a month back to get more vouchers when the others are used.

Does it sound like a plan?

Are your kids using separate cards but they are all linked to your one EDR account? if so i think they have their own redeeming, ie it isn't set from your account. so you should be able to specify earn points on your card but fuel discount for the kids. however they will use the same discount pool of dockets available.

Actually I just checked my account and I don't think it works like that.. I think you will only be able to do one or the other. so if you switch to points earning then everyone will earn points and not fuel discounts.

They just got new cards, but I haven't linked them up yet. They still take my card when filling up.

So you don't think it will be an issue that I am using a company credit card to pay for the petrol?

I think you're right. I need to link up their cards first and then they can choose the discount or the points, but I will keep getting the points - I think.

Not at all. I usually paid on an Amex card when i used safeway fuel. Just handed the EDR card over first. It just says there are no vouchers available. but you get the points in your FF account later.

After you link the cards, each card/separate account holder can choose if they want to get a discount or points. You all share the vouchers earned, and the highest value one will always be used first, but each card has the choice between points or discount.

So for example, you could keep two cards to yourself, write on one 'points' and the other 'discount' and so long as they’re linked they’ll see the same vouchers, but obviously depending on which card you use you’ll get points or a discount.

I opt for double points unless the offer is 8c or more off. To get fuel instead of points - just, don't scan your card and you receive a receipt with the barcode. Simple :)

Call me a snob, but woolies is the LLC of fuel ;P

I find that as a sole trader where my fuel is tax deductible, it is better for me to forgo the discount in return of the QFF points no matter the voucher value... A discount would only lower the deductibility of such a purchase and in my opinion I would lose twice...

Are the rules the same as when using in woolies? No points on the first $30.00

Or am I off the mark , and no points for buying fuel.?
Unlike fly buys

You will either get 4 cents a litre buying Woolies fuel, or 2 points a litre. No need to spend $30 at the fuel pump. One litre should see you get something. :)

Sorry what I meant was a points earn, similar to fly buys

I pay with Amex as well as using the EDR card for points now that I have switched from the discount option
