They are already Gold. I believe they used the wrong abbreviation.

Interestingly, this is the second anecdote I've read recently of someone being comped up a level - something that "never" used to happen.

Not playing with chances of a Comp keeping SG.
Yep, third year at QF PS second year QF SG.
Jul 15 anniversary - attained first QF SG 805 SC Dec 14 to Dec 15 (QF SG card to Jul 16).
By Jul 16, will have approx 610 QF SC, keeping SG to Jul 17.
20 years of QFF membership by then.
After that maybe flying less often but will aim to fly in upper classes, more Js.
