I presume this is so you don't have new members just signing up to PM someone, but is it really necessary?

Damn frustrating. I registered today, made 3 or 4 posts, then wanted to clarify something with a member. Why force me to make what will ultimately be 10 or so junk posts throughout the forum?

And this......

You won't be the first person to get annoyed with the 15 post rule before you can send a PM.

You could start your own thread asking a really obscure question and then reply to each post separately. I am sure that has been done before.:lol:

What is the rush anyway.

Have a good day/evening.

Unless the member you wish to contact has specific knowledge of a subject surely it would be just as easy to ask your question on a thread relevant to your query?AFF has members with very wide experience of things like frequent flyer programs, credit card rewards etc and you would probably get an answer just as quickly by posting on a thread ,unless of course you are seeking information from an authenticated representative from an airline but even then I doubt that you would get a quicker response by sending a PM.
is your query really so secret that you can't discuss it openly?
Cheers

I have deleted your extra posts as post padding is not acceptable on the forum.
Whilst under the 15 post threshold you can send PMs via admin or a moderator.
Thanks for your understanding.

Some members also allow emails to be sent from AFF to their accounts, I’m not sure if that is limited to 15 posts as well or not, but possibly another alternative.

Hehehe...I have the same problem. I think it's to stop people spamming. But yeh, i get ur frustration. Have you made it to the min number yet? :D

This policy is deliberate and in place for a very good reason. Trying to circumvent this by post padding - or any other way - is unacceptable.

Please abide by the guidelines we have established and served us well over the years.
