I know they advertise 15% discount redemption if you do it yourself online, so when you search is the discount already applied ie i'm looking at J class SIN - Paris and its coming up as 220,000 points, is this already with the discount applied or not?

Yes, it factors in the discount.

When you are on the screen with the flight options, on the left hand side is a "Miles Required" section which estimates the points you will need without the discount, but then when you choose your flights and press "Continue", the exact "Miles Required" and taxes come up in the same spot - and that figure has the 15% discount applied.

If you ever get caught with a last minute flight don't be put off calling SQ. Sure it can be 15% extra but they have great visibility so it can be worth them fixing your too hard basket.
Mrscove joined me on a trip when the booking site said no go......we went First a day later with Mrscove paying one lot of 15% extra.
My kids did a last minute and they had to split up to get home but it worked from Manchester for one and LHR for the other in J.
As always a trip planned properly will be the way to keep those points working to the maximum.
Ah PARIS is wonderful and with the Euro trashed it is way more value than ever!
