15% Credit Card Points Bonus Before 31/3/12

I want to make the most of the 30% so was planning to transfer on the last day of the promo (31st March)

You think this will still be ok? Strictly it says before 31st, so should I do it on the 30th just to be safe?

The bonus gets worse every year. Two years ago I transferred points for a 50% bonus,

IIRC the 50% bonus was indeed only available for a limited time when Velocity was first launched.

I indeed took advantage of that myself at the time.

On this occasion I will be transferring 100K pts from AMEX - gets me 130K with promo - add 50K I recently got for taking up Virgin Flyer card - means unless they shift goal posts in next 12 mths the 188K pts i need to redeem J flt MEL-LAX ret is actually funded 43% by VA bonus pts -VA really not being stingy at all IMHO

Hi all,

Well I have tried today to transfer 131,500 Westpac points to Virgin.
1. Do my RESERVE POINTS get used? On one page it says Reserve points used...on another it says only used in Air New Zealand and Malaysian?
2. It says I have to have EXACT name as Velocity Card, BUT it does not let me change (shorten) first name in Westpac?
3. Will it go thru?
4. Was it worth it or better option?
5. Best to transfer in to Family points?
