Hi Jlien and anyone else who transferred points over from Citi on 1 May but who have not received the bonus. Apologies from Velocity!

Citi have been made aware of the issue and have confirmed that the bonus points will be honoured for all point transfers made on the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] of May. Outstanding bonus points will be credited to Velocity accounts as soon as possible.

No weasles here :)

Hooray, some justice for the little guy :)
Thank you for the rapid response

Edit : Can I expect that this problem will resolve itself, or do I need to call up the call centre again? Hopefully they know what i'm talking about this time.

i just transferred from Citibank on 4/5/15 and arrived in my account 5/5/15 but no 15% bonus applied. Hanging out on the phone with Velocity rep to dispute...
The order confirmation was dated 3/5/15. Citi must be working US time.

Just been told it's been escalated to management to check out why!

Correct ..... Flights operated by partner airlines or Any Seat redemptions are not eligible for this offer.

I want to share my experience. I just made Economy Reward booking over the weekend for Etihad from SYD to/from Frankfurt for September 2015 and the website showed 53100 points + taxes instead of 62500 + taxes one way. I managed to book a return ticket with the 15% discount applied on the Etihad flight with EY code.

Have a play around and see what you get :)

Me too! Managed to book MEL-SYD-LHR in J on a mix of VA/EY for ~106,000 points rather than 125,000. Very happy camper here.

I have transferred Diners point to my Velocity account ....process date May 2 - point arrived in my Velocity account on May 5 .....but at the normal transfer value without the 15% top up.
Is that normal with the bonus credited later ?

Any advice from those whom have also transferred point in this latest round would be appreciated. Cheers.

Activity date was 4 May and Processed date 5 may - CITIBANK - only the normal transfer there without the 15% bonus - not having warm happy feelings at the moment - will give it a few days before I bother to ring either call center.

When it your flight? I just searched for every day from June to October and there isn't a single J available to LHR.

That was for December. Did see quite a bit of availability around then though - even some on EY metal only.

So if I transfer say 300,000 from Amex do I get the 15% bonus then can I transfer them straight to Singapore?

300k * 1.15 / 1.35
is less than
300k

What i mean to say is, if you want Krisflyer points, you're better off transferring directly to them from Amex. The conversion ratio of vff -> kf kills it.

Ok great that makes sense

The citi transfer lack of bonus is a bit irritating. I can't quite get the required number of points for the return leg of our journey USA to Australia. Hope the seats don't disappear between now and whenever they come through. Still, the thrill of the chase and all that.

Chalk up another 'Citi missing 15% case'. Initiated transfer yesterday afternoon (06 May) and points hit VFF around midday today.... Highly impressed with the speed, not surprised on the result.

So what is the latest on this? - Do i need to call Citi, VFF or based on earlier advice nothing and hope the remainder filter through eventually?.

....Would prefer not having to call Citi.

Update: Citi initially advised us that this was a one off issue for transfers on 1 May. We are now aware that the issue has affected all transfers from Citi since the beginning of the bonus offer.

Apologies once again.

We are working with Citi on a fix and will advise further once it has been implemented. In the meantime, please rest assured that all eligible transfers from Citi during the offer period will receive the bonus.

Looks like Citibank continues to earn their moniker, which rhymes with "Citi" and ends in "bank"
