12 hours at Auckland Airport

As part of status run , I have around 12 hours of lay over at Auckland airport. Are there any budget accommodation options at Auckland airport. I am not inclined not to step out of the airport and spend time inside the airport.

If am landing at Auckland around 5:50 PM , what are my lounge options if I am VA Gold and also have Amex Plat Charge Card / Priority pass.

Appreciate any tips/suggestions.

No. Some closeby but only Hotel in airport space is the expensive Novotel. Head to Manukau City and do dinner and a movie?

Nothing beats the Novotel, which is just across the road, but dont know if it fits in your budget.

Theres an Ibis and Sudima a short shuttle/taxi ride away.

The Ibis budget is a 10 minute walk, or you can take the "Yellow" bus at NZD6 each way. Also the Holiday Inn which cannot really be walked but the "Yellow bus" serves it as well.

Ibis budget is near a 24 hour supermarket (similar to Woolworths in Oz).

I used to stay at Manukau a bit. Proximity apartments I think it was called, basic but serviceable. Standard shopping mall next door as Hillbilly mentioned.

Have also stayed at Holiday Inn, Sudima and another forgettable motel close by. Not a fan of Sudima.

This is all over two years ago. From memory, nothing near AKL was cheap
