Just saw this on Cathay's Instagram page:

Seems like mainly just a visual refresh of the cabin on the A330-300 and B777-300s that have this regional config - no real changes in terms of seat layout although lay-flat seating is a welcome addition compared to recliners.

Would have been nice to see a proper 1-2-1 long haul business class product to keep things consistent, more competitive (eliminating the chance of getting the inferior 2-2-2 / 2-3-2 layouts) as well as giving them flexibility to deploy on long haul routes, but I guess this would be better than nothing.

Intensely dislike those regional seats… feel like i’m perched forward the whole time :( A refresh isnt going to fix that unfortunately.

Particularly on red eyes and they’ve subbed your full flat for those….😔
