I recently discovered an issue with my VA BF account when adding a saved traveller who happens to be a child with a VA FF to a booking.
When adding the saved traveller, it charges the ticket for the child as an adult fare rather than the slightly cheaper child fare as desired.
The solution is, when doing the initial booking search to add the desired number of additional child fares on the right-hand side after choosing the saved travellers to add to the booking.
Then enter those passengers' details in manually at the point needed.
Sure, while this is generally going to be more likely adults being booked being it's for the business booking portal. It's not always the case and appears to a slightly undocumented feature/bug not seen noted anywhere.
I only found out by chance myself and asked the Business Flyer team who confirmed that's how it works. Such a stupid thing though, that they should fix sometime.
Note: this was a few months ago that I encountered this, but the BF team didn't seem to think it was an issue though or indicated that it would be fixed subsequently then. So, I'll assume that it's still the same.
on a short domestic flight and it was only a marginal difference in the cost for the 1 child at the time but would make a difference if it's a longer itinerary or multiple children added to the booking.
Hope this helps anyway, only thought now a few months later that it would be useful for others to know about the bug too.
