Seeking help - I was able to book Biz tickets using velocity points for VA/QR operated flight but have run into a weird issue which neither of the airline is able to resolve.

I've booked Syd>Mel>Doh to try the Q suite, but when I try to select the seat for Mel to Doh leg on QR website, the seat map doesn't load and gives an error.

On chatting with Qatar they are insisting that "the ticket # is not sync with the GDS system and the booking reference number issued. The E-ticket and PNR both have to be sync to take any action for seats, meals etc" I called them and got the same answer.

I'm getting different answers from Virgin from different agents - one confirmed they have re-synced the booking, other said they are awaiting seating agreement with Qatar and then put me on hold and said something completely different.

How do I go to and has anyone been in a similar situation?
I don't want to arrive at the airport and be told my tickets were never confirmed hence I can't fly...

Has there been a time or schedule change since you booked? If so Virgin might need to reissue or revalidate the ticket before Qatar plays ball.
