What's going on with MH126 (PER-KUL departing 02:10)?

Malaysia Airlines operates the evening KUL-PER service MH127, and the return MH126 departure at 2.10am, every day. This flight has been an A330-200 for years, but recently it's been a mix of different A330 and Boeing 737 variants. Lately it's been almost exclusively 737-800s. Obviously a much worse experience if you're booked in J, since the 737 doesn't have a flat bed.

What's going on here? Is MH short of A330s?
