1000 Bonus Points for Direct Debit Payments

I received a phone call from Amex today offering 1000 bonus points for each bills I converted to paying via direct debit with my card.

Some of the partners offered included Telstra, Lumo, Energy Australia, AAMI. Unfortunately I already direct debit everything I can with Amex, so no bonus points for me (they obviously don't review membership records closely before making the call).

It isn't a large number of points, but may be of some benefit to those of you not already paying by DD.

I also received this call a few months ago.

I already had a few direct deposits setup with their partners but these do not count as it had to be new direct deposits.

Hmmmm, so you couldn't stop after each months payment and then sign back up before the next???
