Dfw is nice and easy to find your way around, but I wouldn't rate it in the top 10 greats, find it boring as heck, but I may be missing something

'Nice and east to find your way around' alone makes it better the most of the other major US airports! LoL

the things that make DFW great for me:

The least painful immigration of any major US airport. Big bright airy room full of natural lighting with an actual semblence of order as opposed to the claustrophobic every-man-for-himself caverns you get elsewhere (LAX, MIA).

It may of just been me but I swear I've had nothing but friendly genuinely nice airport staff interact with me (the volunteer greeters are a cute touch!) Texan charm and hospitality at its best. In fact lady that cleared me in immigration was all smiles and chattiness (and gave me a few tips on places to visit in the carribean lol)

there are a couple more but at 1am my brain ain't functioning (why am I on AFF at 1am instead of bed again?) ;-)

my dealings in the ten or so times I've been through it in the last few few years just have been good. I know I'm not speakingfor anybody else but me, but most major US airports i have been too are more pain then gain where you just have to suck it up and think happy thoughts, so just have 'nice and pleasant'' alone in TLOTFAP wins me over!

I think LAS is a lot of fun, once you get part the terrible check in areas.

HKG and KUL are pretty good..with decent shopping and good lounges.
And in terms of making things so easy, NCE is a breeze

I find SIN looks too much like a 70's casino and hate to drag my carry on through the carpet

I love the carpet (maybe not the colour) as I like a silent bag, rather than on tiles where every second you get the 'clunk clunk clunk' sound on every gap between tiles. :)

For me it is BCN. I love everything about this airport I love it so much I could live there !!!!! It is so clean , stylish, divine shopping, fabulous lounges and I believe you can even get on a plane and go to other cities....;) SIN, BKK, KLIA and even MEL I enjoy.

Yes +1, not so much for the silent bags but the relative quietness despite having hundreds of people in the terminal. As an example, It is easy to make a call (and hear person on the other end if the phone) as you wander through the carpeted Changi halls, it can be more difficult (to hear) when walking through a crowded tiled airport.

Yes as I found out last Saturday night - it used to be 60mins until recently so I thought I was OK. But apparently only applies to AU and US flights - for other destinations u can purchase and carry to gate in sealed bag.
I knew I took a pic when I was in SIN 2 weeks ago - forgot to check iPhone - see what 2 hours quaffing Veuve Le Grande Dame in TPR can do to you.
