I think I am 1.5? Have done the safari (awesome) and been to Macchu Pichu but not walked the Inca Trail. There are definitely some others on that list I would like to do (Northern lights, Antarctica, road trip). Not enough money or time at the moment unfortunately!

0/0 however, will lift my number later this year ... Nth Lights and Amalfi Coast.

edit - forgot that we saw the Nth lights from Quebec nearly 20 years ago

5/10....would love to do Antarctica :)

7/10 for me, although didn't do the trek to Macchu Pichu. Only driven on bits of Route 66 and been to Bora Bora but didn't sleep in an overwater bungalow. Didn't count either of those, otherwise it would have made 9/10.

Trans-Siberian is the only one I have not done in any way.

I should have perhaps added that, funnily enough, I picked up the just-released 2016/17 Travel Directors brochure on the Trans-Siberian just this week ;). They have been doing it for many years and have it down pat. I have an acquaintance who has done it in both summer and over Xmas-New Year. He's also been to N Korea with the TD's - not sure I'd bother doing that, but it would be interesting.

It will have to wait a while. I'm full up the rest of this year with a 7-week DONE5 starting on Tuesday, Xmas at Lake Louise & NYE in SYD, and 2016 is locked away (South Africa, Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania June-Aug) while a DONEx early in 2017 is in planning.

In two minds whether to do it summer or winter. I think, on balance, summer for more opportunity to get out and about.

2/10 for me. My mum is currently on a rail enthusiast small group tour which includes travelling the transfer sobering but she is leaving the tour before that point and meeting up with me in Milan. I feel a bit guilty now that she will miss it! Her choice though.

Umm. Auto correct there LOL. I meant trans siberian. Can't find the edit post button on this new Android app.

3/10 with another 5 on the list to happen sooner rather than later with some variations i.e. not the Inca trail when visiting Machu Picchu :)

I guess a lot of this is just personal...

For me I've done Machu Picchu by train but not the trek
I decided to do Cinque Terre but not the Amalfi Coast but much of a muchness
I've done sunset over Santorini
I've done a safari in Chobe National Park and the Serengeti but still didn't seen a leopard or a rhino (Perhaps in Kruger as mentioned in the article)

Nearly saw the Northern Lights in Canada in May, but the days were too long and the glow on the horizon started dimming before it was totally black, so that is still on the list to do together with Antartica, Galapogas Islands and probably Maldives/Bora Bora sometimes, whether I will splash out for the over water bungalow i don't know... I think personally there might be more interesting drives than Route 66 and really not sure I will make the Trans Siberian anytime soon...

Five and a half here (another Machu Picchu visitor but not trekker).

I also confess my viewing of the northern lights was when I was working in northern Quebec and I stumbled out of a pub into the snow late one night and thought it strange that the cops would have flashing green and red lights, not blue and red  .

2 // 6 // 10 for me. No way I'm doing the road trip - snore!

Some interesting trips there for sure. 0 out of 10 for me, but would love to go see the lights. :)
